Reasons for Using a Dehumidifier and Important Precautions
Dehumidifier for dehumidification
During the rainy season, moisture can seep throughout the entire space, and even tightly closed wardrobes are no exception. If the clothes in your baby’s wardrobe become damp, mold spots can easily develop—and these spots are almost impossible to remove completely. Therefore, mothers must take proactive measures to prevent moisture buildup and keep mold from appearing on their baby’s clothing.
There are dehumidifying agents on the market specifically designed to keep wardrobes dry. Their main ingredient is calcium chloride, a neutral desiccant that leverages its powerful water-absorbing capacity to draw moisture from the humid air inside the wardrobe, thereby achieving dehumidification and mold prevention. Many of these products also contain anti-mold and fragrance-infused granules, which not only effectively absorb moisture and inhibit mold growth but also release a subtle, pleasant scent.
Precautions for using a dehumidifier:
① If the liquid absorbed by the desiccant has not leaked, use a small comb dipped in clean water to wipe the leaking areas of the wardrobe, and thoroughly wash any clothing that has been soaked in the liquid.
② The white moisture-proof paper layer beneath the lid must remain intact; if it is damaged, the container must not be used again. The cup should be used in an upright position—never invert it to pour.
③ After absorption is complete, the water in the cup will become alkaline and should no longer be used for watering plants or any other purposes; simply pour it out. This type of product is for single use only and must not be reused.
